Lifestyle Questionnaire

Tell us a little bit about how you keep fit year round.

Living in the pacific northwest means that my fitness routine is very seasonal. In the summer, I stay active with hiking, mountain biking and kayaking. In the winter I am downhill skiing every chance I get. Year round I am part of a dragon boat team and I participate in an outdoor bootcamp class three times per week.

What is your diet like? Any special requirements?

My diet is fairly consistent, including a lot of fresh produce (local when possible), seafood and free-range meats. My daughter is gluten-intolerant so I find myself trying to make many of the recipes I follow gluten-free.

What motivates you to stay fit and healthy?

My two grandsons. Looking back, my parents were extremely involved with my children when they were young. I would very much like to be as active as they were, but my challenge is I became a grandparent 10 years later than they did. Both grandsons live in different cities from me, so I really want to make my time with them count.

Protein Powder

Why did you decide to start incorporating protein powder into your diet?

Two years ago when my first grandson was born, I resolved to increase my level of fitness so I registered for an outdoor bootcamp class. After the first class I was hooked. I loved everything about it, especially how hard I was pushed. After the first few classes I joined the group at a local coffee shop. I was starving after the workout, so I had a few pastries with my coffee. This soon became a routine, so I decided I needed to make a change. The instructor told me that she mixes protein powder into her water bottle while she works out. I went home that day and started researching.

Why did you choose EidoPro Protein Powder?

I had always thought protein powder was for serious athletes, not 62 year old grandmothers. So I was quite intimidated by the 5 gallon jugs covered with images of muscular men. When I found EidoPro on Amazon, it caught my eye because it was all-natural and appeared to be for any healthy lifestyle. I also didn't want to add sweetener to my diet, so EidoPro definitely checked all the boxes for me.

How do you use EidoPro Protein Powder now?

I add 1 scoop EidoPro Protein Powder to a 1L water bottle filled with 2/3 water and 1/3 orange juice (fresh-squeezed, when possible). I drink the bottle during my bootcamp class 3 times per week. And, if I'm going to be skiing all day, or on a long hike with my husband I bring a bottle along to have between breakfast and lunch.

Any surprising benefits?

EidoPro Protein Powder has enabled me to increase my excercise intensity without making huge changes to my diet. Since I started my bootcamp fitness, I've lost 10 pounds and I don't think I would have had the same outcome without EidoPro.
