Cheddar Cheese Protein Biscuits
Preparation Time: 10 minutes. Bake time: 12 minutes. Makes 18 biscuits
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 c whole wheat flour
- 1 scoop Eidopro Protein Powder
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 c cold butter, cubed
- 1 c cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 c buttermilk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Method:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In large bowl, whisk together flour, Eidopro Protein Powder, baking powder, and baking soda. Cut in butter until course crumbs form and add cheese. Pour in buttermilk and stir to form soft, sticky dough (adding more flour if necessary to handle dough). Form into ball and knead for about 30 seconds. Pat into 3/4 inch thick round on floured surface and cut out using 2 inch circle cutter, rerolling and patting scraps. Brush tops with egg and bake for about 12 minutes.
